Green, green, green …

With every day it feels more like spring and summer are here for good now – my nose got its first sunburn of the year! ๐Ÿ˜€

As mentioned before, the absolute spring color for me is green. So that’s the color that can be found all over the apartment… ๐Ÿ™‚

One might think that candles in the bathroom are unnecessary
as we don’t have a bathtub and therefore no romantic baths…

… but who says you that folding laundry can’t be romantic either? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Spice up your life!

Today we had dinner in the city and we were not sitting INSIDE the restaurant but OUTSIDE – first time this year! And it felt amazing ๐Ÿ™‚ spring is so wonderful! It’s amazing how bright and light it is outside. These days the sun rises a bit after 5am and sets around 9pm – it surprises and confuses me again every day ๐Ÿ˜‰

As every season, spring is great for decoration. However, apart from my spring-prep post I haven’t shared any of the “springness” here. As I’m slowly getting back to my usual energy level after the first weeks of new job, I hereby announce some spring-posts-to-come-this-week ๐Ÿ˜‰

An absolute must have during spring and summer are herbs. I do not have a very green thumb so I’m not a big fan of buying more than two pots of basil in the supermarket (which I’ll usually throw away after two weeks because they just didn’t want to be with me and my not-green-thumb ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). This year it’s different – we went to a real garden center and bought five (!!) different herbs and are really putting effort into them: not only when it comes to the right amount of water and the perfect place but also the decoration ๐Ÿ™‚ Continue reading

Gimme some color!

Last day of Easter holidays, last post about Easter activities ๐Ÿ™‚

My most favorite thing to do during Easter is coloring eggs! It’s the perfect opportunity to feel like a child again and have colored fingers for days ๐Ÿ˜›

In Austria, we do so called “egg tapping” with our Easter eggs. It’s a fun game where you take an egg and tap it to the egg of your competitor – pointy side to pointy side, round side to round side – trying to break the other’s egg. When there’s not an even number of pointy or round sides left, pointy taps against round. And the egg that survives unbroken the longest is the winner!

The more people, the more fun because you can tap with so many eggs ๐Ÿ™‚

What you need and what you do…

You need Easter egg colors and some bowls - I used Tupperware boxes, they are the perfect size and the color doesn't leave any stains.

Hey little lamb…

Today it was time for an Easter premiere – baking my very own Easter Lamb! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s a traditional cake for Easter in Austria. I asked my mum whether she could bring one with her when she visited last week but it probably would not have survived the journey… So, she just brought me a easter lamb baking form, how amazing is that?!

Juhuu!

Let’s start the holidays!

Today evening we officially start into this year’s Easter Holiday – one more reason to go over the top with spring decorations!

We will spend it at home, fixing stuff in the apartment, relax after all our visitors, enjoy the spring in the air and do some Easter stuff ๐Ÿ˜‰

In order to get into the right mood already before this short holiday, I did some decoration last week: 2 Easter Trees ๐Ÿ™‚ It turned out to be two of them as I took my Austrian Easter Tree decoration with me when moving to Sweden, so I wanted to use it. And then I also wanted to have a Swedish Easter Tree.
