Last day of Easter holidays, last post about Easter activities 🙂
My most favorite thing to do during Easter is coloring eggs! It’s the perfect opportunity to feel like a child again and have colored fingers for days 😛
In Austria, we do so called “egg tapping” with our Easter eggs. It’s a fun game where you take an egg and tap it to the egg of your competitor – pointy side to pointy side, round side to round side – trying to break the other’s egg. When there’s not an even number of pointy or round sides left, pointy taps against round. And the egg that survives unbroken the longest is the winner!
The more people, the more fun because you can tap with so many eggs 🙂
What you need and what you do…
You need Easter egg colors and some bowls – I used Tupperware boxes, they are the perfect size and the color doesn’t leave any stains.
Today it was time for an Easter premiere – baking my very own Easter Lamb! 🙂
It’s a traditional cake for Easter in Austria. I asked my mum whether she could bring one with her when she visited last week but it probably would not have survived the journey… So, she just brought me a easter lamb baking form, how amazing is that?!
Today evening we officially start into this year’s Easter Holiday – one more reason to go over the top with spring decorations!
We will spend it at home, fixing stuff in the apartment, relax after all our visitors, enjoy the spring in the air and do some Easter stuff 😉
In order to get into the right mood already before this short holiday, I did some decoration last week: 2 Easter Trees 🙂 It turned out to be two of them as I took my Austrian Easter Tree decoration with me when moving to Sweden, so I wanted to use it. And then I also wanted to have a Swedish Easter Tree.
In Austria, we put colored egg shells on our Easter Trees 🙂
