Catchin’ up!

After my Easter posts I just didn’t make it for another post, for some good reasons… First of all, my to-do-list after the Easter weekend felt endless. And second, I went to Vienna for a 4 days holiday 🙂

Back to normal life today I’ve realized that I missed out on three of my photo posts about how wonderful life is (including the one that is yet to come this week). As I got up at 4 this morning I’m not gonna start catching up on those blog posts.

But I’ll keep with this post’s title – catchin’ up. That was one of the main reasons for my holidays in Vienna. Meet friends, have hour long brunches, sort out some childhood memory stuff that is left at my old apartment, attend a friend’s graduation (congrats again, I can’t say it too often!!), check out what has changed in the city. I didn’t take a lot of pictures in Vienna. The weather was too grey and too uäääh to keep fingers outside of pockets. And then I also have quite a lot of Vienna pictures already, haven’t I?

However, two things really touched my heart. And of those I took pictures. Continue reading

When I woke up this morning it was white outside. The night brought some snow. And as much as I love snow – this morning, I took the blanket and pulled it over my head. It’s time for spring. That means blue sky, golden sun, warmer temperatures, first flowers. NO SNOW.

So, what better there is than a past-photo-blog with some really summery pictures from a picnic in a biiiig park in Vienna. Oooh, right now I can’t even imagine how wonderful it must be to go outside without 500 layers of clothes. Or putting on summer dresses. Or staying outside long evening. Continue reading

Okay, this week’s photo post is gonna be a short one (it’s a very lazy Sunday today, as we had a birthday party from a dear friend which lasted until… well, very late). But I like the pictures because they remind me of a really good spring/summer-night I had in Vienna a couple of years ago.

It was end of May, which is a really good time in Vienna because it is already warm, you can spend time outside, the summer-feeling has reached the city but it’s not yet holiday season, so there is still a lot of people in town.

As announced in yesterday’s post, I will make it up to you that I missed out on my photo blogpost last week – here comes a second one for this week 🙂

So far we had Stockholm and a little village in Austria. And as much as I love nature, I think in overall I’m more of a big city person. One of the best city trips I’ve ever made to Austria’s second largest city, Graz, with two friends I’ve know for basically all my life. We’re three girls and the times it is really all three of us meeting are very rare as we haven’t lived in the same city or area for years. But nevertheless we try from time to time to make it 😉

For a couple of years in a row, we therefore always gave us “activity birthday presents”, meaning that two of us invited the birthday girl for a special activity where all three had to participate. Dinner, theatre, girls night… Usually the activity happened months ago – mostly in connection with the birthday of the next of us three 🙂 Continue reading
