It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

It’s a Tuesday evening, I’m sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea and a warm cardigan, it’s raining outside – summer is over, autumn has arrived 🙂

You know what – it’s okay. I’m looking forward to these rainy and comfy days that you can spend inside, rummaging around in the apartment, watching movies, reading books, dreaming dreams… Getting a routine back in the daily life (that hopefully will include more blogging after this extended summer break 😉 ) and calming down after busy months.

But before diving into autumn life it feels like it is time for a summer recap. Kind of hard after this amazing summer. Maybe it’s best to leave you a picture of what was probably my most favorite place this summer…

…and a big, big thank you my family and my friends who made this summer with its sun and warmth, festivals and afterworks, beach days and city nights to one of the best summers ever!

Evening Inspiration

This should actually become a real proper, long blog post about our nice, flowery, cosy balconies (where I intend to spend the whole summer)… but instead of taking loads of pictures of strawberry plants, hortensia and self-made seating pillows I am stuck with enjoying the evening sun and reading Elle interior magazine 🙂

Enjoy your evening – it’s almost weekend!!

Green, green, green …

With every day it feels more like spring and summer are here for good now – my nose got its first sunburn of the year! 😀

As mentioned before, the absolute spring color for me is green. So that’s the color that can be found all over the apartment… 🙂

One might think that candles in the bathroom are unnecessary
as we don’t have a bathtub and therefore no romantic baths…

… but who says you that folding laundry can’t be romantic either? 😉

Spice up your life!

Today we had dinner in the city and we were not sitting INSIDE the restaurant but OUTSIDE – first time this year! And it felt amazing 🙂 spring is so wonderful! It’s amazing how bright and light it is outside. These days the sun rises a bit after 5am and sets around 9pm – it surprises and confuses me again every day 😉

As every season, spring is great for decoration. However, apart from my spring-prep post I haven’t shared any of the “springness” here. As I’m slowly getting back to my usual energy level after the first weeks of new job, I hereby announce some spring-posts-to-come-this-week 😉

An absolute must have during spring and summer are herbs. I do not have a very green thumb so I’m not a big fan of buying more than two pots of basil in the supermarket (which I’ll usually throw away after two weeks because they just didn’t want to be with me and my not-green-thumb 😉 ). This year it’s different – we went to a real garden center and bought five (!!) different herbs and are really putting effort into them: not only when it comes to the right amount of water and the perfect place but also the decoration 🙂 Continue reading

Hello Life!

Wow – 2,5 weeks without a blog post. And that even though I’ve been bragging about Catchin’ up in my last entry. But I have the world’s best excuse for the non-blogging – I started a new job! 🙂

I’ve been looking for a new job for quite some time, so I was over the roof when the recruiter called me and told me that she had an offer for me 🙂

However, a new job is always exhausting. Many new people to meet, many new things to learn, many new routines to take on. And in my case it also includes working in a new language – it’s my first full-time and for-real-not-only-summer job in Swedish. It’s exciting, I love the job and my tasks, the language is going better and better every day, it’s easy to get up every morning – that’s a good sign. But I’ve been tired. Like, not only tired, but TIRED. The type of  “coming home, eating, getting comfy on the sofa, going to bed at half past ten” tired. Continue reading
